About Firm Foundation Early Enrichment

Our Story
Firm Foundation Early Enrichment was born out of both professional experience and personal conviction.
After spending time working in early childhood education, I began to realize that many traditional childcare environments were not aligned with the kind of care and learning environment I believed children truly deserve. High staff turnover, inconsistent classroom environments, and policies that didn’t always prioritize the individual needs of children made it difficult to feel confident in the system as a whole.

At the same time, in my own home, I had begun a different journey.

When my own child struggled to fit into the traditional school model, I chose to homeschool rather than allow him to be labeled simply because his learning style was different from others. That experience opened my eyes to how powerful individualized learning can be when children are given the freedom to grow at their own pace.

Through homeschooling, I discovered a learning environment that felt natural, engaging, and deeply rewarding. Children thrive when they are understood, supported, and encouraged to explore the world in ways that work best for them.

That experience ultimately inspired the creation of Firm Foundation Christian Academy, our homeschool program, and later Firm Foundation Early Enrichment, which serves as an extension of that same philosophy for younger learners.

Our Philosophy
At Firm Foundation Early Enrichment, we believe every child is uniquely created with their own strengths, interests, and learning style.

Rather than expecting children to fit into a rigid mold, our goal is to meet children where they are and guide their development in ways that support their natural curiosity and growth.

Our learning approach is influenced by elements of both the Montessori Method and the Reggio Emilia approach, which encourage hands-on learning, exploration, creativity, and independence.
By blending these philosophies with structured guidance and intentional teaching, we create a balanced environment where children are encouraged to:
-
Explore their interests
-
Develop independence
-
Build confidence in their abilities
-
Ask questions and think critically
-
Form positive relationships with others
A Christ-Centered Foundation
Faith is an important part of the culture at Firm Foundation Early Enrichment. Children are gently introduced to biblical principles and character values that encourage kindness, honesty, patience, and compassion toward others.

Our goal is not only to help children grow academically, but also to nurture the character and values that will guide them throughout their lives.

A More Personal Learning Environment
Firm Foundation Early Enrichment offers a small, nurturing learning environment designed to feel more like an extension of home than a traditional childcare center.

By maintaining smaller group sizes, we are able to give each child the attention, encouragement, and support they need to thrive.

We believe children learn best when they feel safe, valued, and truly known by the adults who care for them.

Our Vision
Firm Foundation Early Enrichment exists to help lay strong foundations during the early years of childhood — academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.
As the program grows, our vision is to continue expanding learning opportunities for families, including the future addition of a private kindergarten program that builds upon the strong foundation developed in our early learning classes.
